Gesù di Nazareth

This has been a fantastic watch for me, and it is equally powerful as it is touching. Suffice to say, being a Catholic, it touches me on a more personal level and it definitely appeals to me as a Christian. What struck me most was how various characters were given an in depth personality as opposed to having a somewhat two dimensional character in the bible. You can feel more and sympathise with the people back then, when they were torn between leaving their family and following Christ, and this dilemma still holds true now in many of us! The right path to be taken is not easy, and it is so easy to just give up. But it is what comes at the end that is worth all the sacrifices. Other characters like Judas came out in better light than portrayed in the bible, or as how many others have condemned him as the betrayer. This mini-series gives much thought to the possible motives on why he might have 'betrayed' Jesus, and it also mentioned that he was not the only disciple that betrayed Jesus, but the rest as well who deserted him in His final hours. I personally feel that all Christians should watch this epic, though lengthy, and allow it to bring you to a depth previously not been before. At least this was what it was able to do for me.

Remember me, when you come into Your kingdom
