last day of the year
Having enjoyed my Christmas break, I've been finding it extremely difficult to get my engine for studying started. So far, it has been a terrible start-stop journey, interrupted by meeting friends from distant countries (actually, just Singapore), watching the first season of Heroes (I watched half of it last year and found it a tad too slow but was recently persuaded to continue on and it has been pretty amazing!), going for a Cantonese-dominated birthday party, and finally, on the final day of the year, I spent a good two hours raking the garden and making sure it looks neat and tidy.
I officially rate Autumn as my least favourite season. Raking the leaves, and worse still, putting them into the thrash bag is really a back-breaking chore. It is bad enough to make me want to stay with my friends next year. Just too tedious and time consuming. I feel like poisoning the trees so that they won't shed anymore.
Meanwhile, my good friend Raymond whom I know all the way back since OCS Tango Wing, finally announced his arrival in UK. He's on an exchange in Manchester for the next half of the year, but he's currently travelling Europe like there's no tomorrow! He just went to Copenhagen (Denmark), Paris and Le Mans (France). After spending a few days in London, he's going off to Prague (Czech Republic), Bratislava (Slovakia), Budapest (Hungary) and Vienna (Austria). I'm quite envious of him, but I also know it's going to be quite a travel and extremely energy-sapping! Hope he has fun and I'll catch up with him soon in Manchester or London.
For now, it's happy New Year to you guys and I wish you all the best for the year ahead! Now its time for me to end my celebrations and get back to work!
